DuskDusk
Domestic Medium Hair-black and white
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
PetFinder ID: c250-11-09

Dusk was found on November 16, 2009, a walking skeleton. Her body had gone so long without food that every notch on her spine was visible. Where had she been and how long had she been starving and suffering?

Dusk was rushed to the vet for care, with one of the many challenges she has had to face being how to get her body to accept food after being so long without it. Her will to live has been amazing and what is most remarkable about this lovely lass is the pure enjoyment she exhibits when she is approached or petted. She will sing and roll on her back and even drool with happiness. If ever a cat deserved her own forever home, with no fear of starvation and deprivation, it's Dusk. Come and see her today; in spite of her terrible ordeal, she has an incredible amount of love to give and will be a wonderful four-legged companion.

Dusk is spayed and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Mr SilverMr. Silver
Tabby - Grey
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c30-04-09

Mr. Silver was brought to us mid April 2009, so hungry that he had been eating bread that had been put out for the birds. He was very skinny and even though this handsome lad is well-fed now, food still is extremely important to him. This is understandable, given that he had been starving; he doesn't realize that the days of deprivation are behind him.

Mr. Silver can be timid at first, but once he's comfortable and knows he's safe, he's a sweet and affectionate cat. Come and meet him today; he's been waiting so very long to be loved and cared for.

Mr. Silver is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

NicoleNicole
Domestic Short Hair-black
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
PetFinder ID: 09-01-09

Sweet Nicole, whom we featured in July, is still waiting for her forever home. In this day and age, it's amazing how often black cats still are discriminated against and left to languish in cages while other cats are adopted.

Pretty Nicole was a pregnant stray who made her way into a gentleman's home through the brick foundation of his house. She gave birth to a premature litter of kittens that sadly weren't able to survive. She came to us very nervous of people, but what a turn-around she made! This sweetheart now soaks up human companionship and would love to relax beside you on your couch. Please don't let her wait another seven months for her forever home.

Nicole is up-to-date with routine shots and is spayed.

Brice
Brice
Domestic Short Hair-gray
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: C50-05-09

Handsome Brice, whom we featured in September, is still waiting for his forever home.

This adorable boy arrived at our shelter on May 8, 2009 as an abandoned stray, and we estimate him to be just over 3 years old. He's an absolute sweetheart, with a quiet personality, and we can't understand why he's been overlooked.

In spite of his callous treatment at the hands of his previous human, he has a preference for the company of people and "sings" with happiness when he is petted. He enjoys playing with the younger cats as well, and will be fine in a household with other felines, or on his own, provided he gets the love and attention he so richly deserves.

Brice is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Charlie
Charlie
Domestic Short Hair-orange

Size: Large
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c224-10-09

Charlie arrived as a stray at the end of October 2009. His approximate date of birth is January 2008, so he's still a young cat. Poor Charlie looks like he had been on the losing end of a few street fights, but he has a heart of gold and absolutely adores being petted. He would be better suited to a quiet home, as he is reserved and easily spooked. Having been forced to live on the streets, his coping method is to hide and become as invisible as possible when in a new and potentially dangerous situation. In his forever home, with an abundance of love and proper care, Charlie will blossom and be the wonderful kitty companion he was meant to be.

Charlie is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Buck

Buck

Tabby - Grey
Size: Large
Age: Senior
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c100-07-09

Poor Buck, whom we featured in November, still hasn't found anyone who is caring enough to look past his age and give him a forever home.

Buck had been callously dumped on one of the local islands, left to fend (and die) for himself. Fortunately, he was rescued and brought to us. He is a sweet lad, approximately 10 years old and neutered, but shelter life is hard on a cat who is in his senior years. The young, energetic kittens and cats come and go and yet Buck still waits for his chance for a forever home. If you are looking for a feline companion past the curtain-climbing stage, come and say hello to him today. Buck still has years of companionship to offer and you can enrich his life by giving him the love and care he so desperately waits for.

Buck is neutered and up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Gala
Gala
Calico

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
PetFinder ID: c158-08-09

Gala arrived at our shelter on August 26th with her three kittens. She was a wonderful mother to her trio of babies and raised them to be well-socialized and well-adjusted young cats. Now it's time for this sweet and delightful former mother to find a human "mum" of her own. Gala will make a loving addition to any family, so come and introduce yourself to her today.

Gala has been spayed and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Lodger
Lodger
Domestic Medium Hair, Tabby - Brown
Size: Large
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c190-10-09

Handsome Lodger came to us on October 2, 2009. He had been a summer resident at a local campground, had appeared during the height of tourist season and took full advantage of the kind gifts of food. But with the campground closing for the winter months, Lodger's survival would have been in jeopardy. Fortunately, the resort's owners were able to bring him to the shelter to ensure his safety. Lodger has turned out to be a wonderful, loving cat who deserves a fresh start in his forever home. Come and see him today; how can you resist his silly, adorable expression?

Lodger is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Cartman
Cartman
Domestic Short Hair-black
Size: Large
Age: Approx. 4.5 yrs old
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c129-08-09

Sleek, handsome Cartman came to us on August 8, 2009 as a befriended stray. A very caring family had taken him into their home 3 months earlier and had him vaccinated and spayed. They did all the right things for him but he was was terrified of their two gentle Golden Retrievers and would remain hidden in his "safe" spot in their house. Cartman simply couldn't be convinced that the dogs meant him no harm. Who knows what his experiences were when he was on his own, trying to survive? It's quite possible he had been traumatized by a dog in the past, generating a life-long fear of canines. So it was with very heavy hearts that this generous family turned to us for help.

Cartman now has settled in to shelter life and while he enjoys the company of the other cats, he waits for his forever home, one that is dog-free. He will be terrific in a home with other cats or even on his own, so come and see this sweet boy today. Start your new year off a great footing by giving this very worthy feline a home to call his own, one where he will feel safe and secure and will be loved and cared for all his days.

Cartman is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

RobTabby - Grey
Size: Large
Age: Approx. 2 years old
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c135-08-09

Handsome Rob was found abandoned with  his roommate, Roy, and brought to our shelter on August 13, 2009. They thoughtlessly and callously had been left behind when their humans moved out, which makes us wonder why some people even bother to have pets in the first place.

Rob, being a typical sociable male cat, enjoys the company of the other cats at the shelter, and so would be the purrfect addition to your family. If you don't already have pets, consider adopting Rob and another cat together, for twice the companionship and joy.

Please visit us today and make Rob's holiday wish for a forever home come true.

Rob is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

Plaid
Domestic Long Hair-white
Size: Large
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c169-09-09

Plaid arrived on September 1, 2009 as a collared stray whose humans never came looking for him. He was neutered at the end of September and he's been ready to find a new home since then. He's a well-mannered and tidy cat, approximately 2 years old, who needs a family to love him and care for him properly.

How can you resist his heart-melting golden eyes? Please give Plaid a true gift this holiday season--the gift of a forever home.

Plaid is neutered and is up-to-date with routine vaccinations.

BrewsterBrewster
Domestic Medium-Haired Tabby - white and brown
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
PetFinder ID: c252-11-08

Brewster was one of eight kittens born on November 19, 2008, though only he and his two sisters survived. He spent his first months in foster care, until he was ready for his forever home. That was a long time ago and he's still waiting for someone to give him the happy home he so deserves.

Brewster definitely is the leader of the pack and seems to have unlimited energy. He can turn anything into a toy and will be a wonderful companion for a family or a roommate for non-dominant cat. Please come and see him today!

Brewster is up-to-date with routine shots and is neutered.
