Foster Homes & Volunteers Needed If you have as little as three hours a week between 8am and 1pm, Monday through Sunday please drop in or call us to offer help! Our homeless little ones need to be fed, cleaned and socialized 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We also have other volunteer opportunities both inside and outside the Shelter. Can you help by caring for an animal at your home? Are you the special kind of person who could foster a special pet? We often encounter animals needing special care beyond what we can provide at the Shelter. This might include a pregnant nursing mother or one about to give birth. It could mean an animal on special medications or diet needing extra attention. We might be dealing with very young or orphaned animals, perhaps not yet weaned. Most dogs coming into our care need to be fostered while we locate a permanent placement because we do not yet have housing for dogs in our own Shelter. Fostering a needy animal can be a tremendously rewarding experience but it is a lot of work. We provide the food and medical care. You provide the love and a safe, comfortable environment. If you think this opportunity could be for you, please contact us. |
