Due to an extraordinary INCREASE of the amount of shelter animals and an extraordinary DECREASE in volunteers, we are in desperate need of new human faces to help take care of the critters that need our help.
If you have a few hours to spare, please come and see for yourself how rewarding it is to volunteer at our NO KILL animal shelter. So many people say they could not volunteer at a shelter because they feel so bad for the animals, but if they do not receive our care, they would be on the street without food, shelter and good health.
If you still feel working in the shelter would be too heartbreaking for you, there are many ways you can help us without even stepping foot in the shelter! Just read our list of jobs below.
We would be grateful if you could just spare a few hours a week to help out!
There are many jobs; such as:
-
Cleaning the shelter and the cat’s temporary homes (cages)
-
Doing dishes
-
Grooming the cats
-
Helping out with fundraising (selling raffle tickets, getting corporate sponsors, helping set up and sell at our garage sales, etc)
-
Driving cats to the vets to get spayed or neutered (We are in desperate need of drivers at this time. If you can, please spare a few hours a week to drive the little critters to the vets)
-
Helping fix up the shelter: such as fixing cages, painting, re-decorating the shelter, putting up shelves, etc.
Anybody can be a volunteer at our shelter. So if you are young or old, we have something very rewarding for you to take part in and you will be able to help our furry friends at the shelter!
Please download the volunteer application sheet and send it or drop it off at our shelter. Call us at 613-382-1512 if you have any questions!
The cats will be looking forward to meeting you!! Meow!
