The cat show features judging of beautiful pedigreed cats and family pets, displays many different cat breeds, and offers for sale a wide variety of cat products and feline-inspired items for personal use such as handbags and jewellery.
Come and enjoy a PURRfectly wonderful time at this grand cat show, and be sure to visit our GDHS table when you are there! For more cat show information please follow this link or visit www.catshow.ca.
What’s Up Cupcake?
March is What’s Up, Cupcake? month, and we’re kicking it off in style with the Lyndhurst Feral Cat Project’s Online Auction, March 1 - 5. Please jump into the bidding for cute, creative items, often hand-made by local artists, on the LFCP facebook page.
What’s Up, Cupcake? lasts the whole month of March, which is often pretty bleak, but cupcakes can pull you through! To any groups or people wishing to jump in & bake cupcakes to sell, the whole event is pretty free-form and we can also help you advertise through our FB, website and e-newsletter Power to the Paw. We’d love the help of any businesses who will join in even for a day!
Just make whatever kind you like, or make cupcake-themed items. We’ve seen, and loved, What’s Up, Cupcake? mugs, dog and cat treats, knitted catnip-stuffed cupcakes, and are amazed by your creativity.
This is a community effort open to anyone, and it brings cheer, besides helping us to keep our doors open!
Our GDHS Cupcake team will also be baking cupcakes through the month for you to order directly from us. Watch for our new 2017 cupcake menu! Shown here - Dark Chocolate Cupcake with Mocha Buttercream Frosting, Yum!
WE’ll also let you know which businesses are joining in to spread the cupcake fun. Please note we hold our own special cupcake month which is separate from the OSPCA’s National Cupcake Day, to ensure every penny of your donations help our local animals in need.
