Animal Pins of War Campaign
(Dec. 21, 2020)

As you may recall, GDHS and Gan Pet Valu joined forces and participated in the Animals of War Campaign. Each pin was $12, with $2.50 of each pin sale going to the Gananoque Legion.

We are so very proud to have one of our own volunteers (Corporal Kelly Croft, Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics, Kingston) present Ray Foster, President of the Gananoque Legion, with a cheque of $182.50.

Thank you to all that supported this campaign and to those who support Gan Legion and GDHS all year round. As always, thank you Kim and the staff at Pet Valu for all your support and kindness.

Carveth Care Fundraising (December 27 2019)
Kay Garland Carveth Residents’ Council President is presenting us with check for $ 1,300 to help our furry friends at the shelter. Carveth seniors and the Activation Team raised these funds during the month of December .  Under the guidance of Kay and the Activation Team, residents held many fund raising activities such as denim Fridays, popcorn Mondays, bun sale, Christmas Photos, treasure table and afghan raffle.  By the way, Kay made the afghan. And this is not the first time Carveth seniors and the Activation Team raised funds for our shelter. They have done it many times in the past.  Carveth seniors and the Activation Team are a caring family who continue to help us and we are extremely grateful for their hard work and kindness.

Furball Cruise (August 23 2019)
Thanks again to the Rockport Boat Line for providing GDHS supporters with a lovely cruise through the 1000 Islands as party goers danced to the great sounds of R-Banned as they donated their time and music to help raise money for our shelter.  A great time was had by all and the weather was beautiful.
